Cannon Mountain, New Hampshire
Just passed the old man of the mountain. We saw Cannon Mountain. Below are
some pictures I took March 17, 2002 when I was in cannon Mountain. Enjoy! ---

High above the
Franconia Notch gateway to northern New Hampshire there is an old man. He has
been described as a relentless tyrant, a fantastic freak, and a learned
philosopher, feeble and weak about the mouth and of rarest beauty, stern and
solemn, one of the most remarkable wonders of the mountain world.

Pic 2: Remember Robert Forest's poem: Two road devided... Now you have to decide which way to take. The black diamond trail on right or the blue diamond on left?
Pic 3: One of the longest trails among all the Mountains in new england. There are lifts take you to half way of the Mountain which takes around 8 mins.
Pic 4:There is a second lift took you all the way to top of mountain which take you another 8 mins. Which means you have a longer way to get down the whole Mountain.
Pic 5:Keep skiing in one of the trail, you start to see part of the highway, then the whole high way, and a little bit of the famous echo lake. when you are at waist of the mountain, you can almost see the whole lake covered with snow. which is absolutly breath taking beautiful!!
Pic 6:The Huge famous Cannon Express lift truck, with capacity of carrying 70 people at one time. with no waiting line and just 8 mins to send you to the top of the Mountain.
